Superb Learning helped The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) transform its face-to-face training into a more cost and time-effective online solution by using Sparks alongside their LXP. Sparks promoted learner engagement through the use of data-driven nudges and automated some time-consuming administrative tasks that occur when working with a large cohort of learners.
Based in Brisbane, Australia, Superb Learning is a digital learning agency dedicated to helping thought leaders transform their knowledge into a powerful digital learning experience. They were one of the first companies to adopt Sparks to facilitate data-driven nudging and automation.
Established in 2009, IUIH leads the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to the indigenous population of South East Queensland in Australia. Their regional network now encompasses over 20 multidisciplinary primary health clinics.
IUIH continued expansion meant they required a new system to help introduce clinics to the IUIH System of Care and onboard employees more effectively. With a large and varied workforce, making sure everyone received a consistent and personalized experience that aligned with the priorities of the institute was a challenge. For example, IUIH’s onboarding program was delivered in a face-to-face format, requiring multiple facilitators.
Sparks consumed information from the LXP and used it to power data-driven nudges giving learners timely, personalized, and relevant content promoting engagement in the programs. Sparks also played a key role in automating some of the more time-consuming administrative tasks, such as chasing learners falling behind and auto-enrolling learners onto courses in the program, freeing time for facilitators to spend on higher-value activities.
Automating data-driven nudges alongside their online training programs, IUIH ensured all learners received personalized content and messaging when they needed it and reduced the burden on facilitators when administering a large cohort of a 1000 learners.
The highly engaging user experience set a new benchmark for online training at IUIH and after a successful pilot and based on positive feedback from key stakeholders and learners the program was launched state-wide.
